Is the smoke detector working?

I'll never understand how certain employers (over) value a degree.

I was sent an automatic job listing (thanks Indeed) for a full time Program Manager or Curriculum Manager at a STEM based center in NYC.

Now, I spent nearly 3 years running a STEM based company in NJ, teaching classes to kids, developing curriculum’s and handling all their administrative duties. I feel like I have experience on my side here.

Back to the listing, the pay is good, the commute to NYC isn’t horrible, the company has zero bad reviews, and it looks like a great company. Their first question on the application, “do you have a bachelors degree?”

Thankfully answering “No” doesn’t end the application but I feel like that “No” is going to torpedo my chances at this. Time to see if my experience out weighs a piece of paper.
