Here we have Heroes Vodka.
A pleasant easy drinking vodka whose company supports our (U.K.) ‘Help For Heroes’ group who raise money to support our service men and women both in service support and ex-service support.
They donate 20% of all profits equally with the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity, ABF The Soldiers Charity and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
For £19 I’m actually surprised just how good it is.
It’s a 40% (by volume) wheat grain vodka - seven times distilled
From their website.
Light pepper, mineral with fresh green grass notes coming through.
Beautifully smooth, slightly sweet on the palate all the way through with nice peppery warmth building towards the end. The faintest taste of aniseed.
Delicate warmth with a light creamy/buttery finish and slight vanilla notes.
Magnificent on the rocks, it mixes incredibly well with traditional mixers and exotic fruit flavours.
COMPANY FOUNDER CHRIS GILLAN WAS INSPIRED BY A PAINTING CALLED ‘HEROES’, AND BY THE SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN IT REPRESENTS.
Painted by world renowned artist and fellow military veteran David Shepherd, it commemorates Operation Taber and the deployment of 21 and 23 Special Air Service to Afghanistan’s Helmand Province in 2008.
Chris was involved in Operation Taber to train Afghan Police behind enemy lines, and was presented with a limited edition print of ‘Heroes’ by 21 SAS. So, when it came to founding a drinks company that supports the armed forces community, there seemed no more fitting name.
Heroes Vodka is a high-quality vodka brand with an authentic and heartfelt connection to the UK Armed Forces. It is recognised by vodka connoisseurs around the world, and loyally supported by the UK Forces family.
Chris established Heroes Vodka to give something back to the men and women who have served our country.
Happy to support our forces anyway I can.
